In So lucky rifletto sul dolore che trasforma fisicamente e psicologicamente.
Dopo un grave incidente ho deciso di documentare la mia sofferenza e quella di alcuni pazienti traumatizzati dell’istituto ospedaliero di fisioterapia che frequentavo ogni giorno.
I primissimi piani delle riprese, decontestualizzano il soggetto ritratto, raccontano il dolore e la volontà di superamento del trauma, svelando un labile confine tra il piacere e il dolore.

In So lucky, I reflect on how pain transforms you physically and psychologically.
After a severe car accident, I decided to film my pain and the pain of other patients from daily physiotherapy sessions at the hospital I went to.
The close-up framing isolates injured people from this context. Although the scenes talk about pain and the will of overcoming the trauma, they reveal the ambiguous boundary between pain and pleasure.
